Where can I purchase a Birth Certificate or Death Certificate?

Answer:

Birth and/or Death Certificates may be obtained through the City’s Vital Statistics Division located at City Hall. By late January, the division will be moving to their offices to a new location within the City’s Downtown Parking Garage at 221 South 15^th Street. Applications may be downloaded from the city website at www.mcallen.net/departments/vitals or you may call (956) 681-1191 for additional information.
